    Oklahoma Deer Hunting Records

It’s no surprise to those who hunt for sport that Oklahoma is one of the top states to do this kind of thing. The rich and dense population of whitetail deer in Oklahoma is astounding, and it’s why many of the record-breaking deer on record can be found in this particular state. If you’re a hunter yourself, you may be curious as to the largest bucks and does that are on record currently from those who happen to be hunting in the state of Oklahoma. These records might let you know where you currently stand when it comes to the hunt.

On January 11th, 2015, Wade Ward happened to hunt the largest white tailed buck on record. The buck was 188 inches and the deer was hunted with a typical crossbow. Also, Erica Gantz Keen of Lindsay has been an avid hunter since she was a child. She is the first woman to have a record-breaking buck on file. Her buck scored a total of 230 7/8 when it comes to the green score, so it is one of the largest on records at the current moment. This makes both of these individuals incredibly challenging for others when it concerns getting a bigger kill.

Keep in mind that if you would like to do some hunting in the state of Oklahoma, there are certain regulations and hunting limits that are put into place each year. It is also important to familiarize yourself with the laws each passing year as they may change depending on the white tailed deer population and patterns. By understanding the limits and laws, you can go out and hunt peacefully without worrying that even if you do get a large kill, you can show it off to others without being hit with fines in the process.

Many people are finding that Oklahoma is a wonderful state when it comes to deer hunting. The fact that there are tons of high-point records on file and that these records are continually being broken is something to say about this great state and its deer population. As stated before, make sure to familiarize yourself with any limits and laws involving deer hunting in Oklahoma so that you can be fully prepared for the sport and all that it has to offer to you. It’s a great option for those who want to have something they can enjoy and even try to break some records themselves.
